Bought this for my 9 year old grandson and was afraid that it wouldn’t work well enough for him and his 8 year old brother to use. I haven’t had very good luck with toys lately and I thought a pitching machine for $29 was asking a lot. However, it worked just fine. I had purchased an extra set of balls so there would be enough for two rounds before the gathering up process. Seems the extra balls were a little heavier and fired better than the balls that came with the product, so the boys chose to use only the one set and pick-up after each round. (they have a lot more energy than I have) They had a great time practicing their batting and I got credit for getting an awesome gift.

No audiophile here and I haven’t tried others, but these seem to be pretty good bang for buck. This probably makes more sense for listening in noisy environments than pricier headphones. Listen to music over your computer’s hum, or cut out your neighbor’s barking dogs. No battery? Still works as headphones.

A couple of nits - IMHO it sounds like it adds more white noise than would be expected as a normal processing artifact (to mask what it doesn’t cancel?). And I also think that engaging the noise cancellation feature does boost the external signal sent to the phones, contrary to what the manual says (possibly to enhance signal to noise ratio).

Overall - I like it. Quiet! Nice sound, nice quality look and feel.

I’m not a huge Oprah fan but I do love this magazine. In fact, I gave it away a few years ago as a gift subscription and the folks were upset that I didn’t renew for them. I read A LOT of magazines but this one is the best. It talks about different things for everyday people and it seems to stick to it’s demographic. If you want a magazine with a little substance - not just the same old recycled hair, make-up, clothes and sex tips - this is it. The only thing I don’t like is Oprah’s Favorite Things (I’m not sure if that’s the title of the section). Oprah’s “picks” are always very nice but they are way over the average person’s budget.

This is a really funny gag gift - bought it for a white elephant christmas exchange and it was the hit of the party amongst both liberals and conservatives. That said, it can also get pretty nasty if you have some real jerks around (or drunk people or reviewers) who take these things way too seriously or use it a force their political opinions on others.

Not sure it really works that great, but that’s not really why you buy something like this. It does work and has decent quality.

I have both the Braun 9595 Pulsonic electric razors and the Norelco Arcitec 1090X. So I am qualified to compare the two. The Braun is the hands down better shaver and the best shaver I have ever used. The shaver hugs your face and the vibration system is comfortable almost massage like. Shaving with this shaver actually feels good. The Norelco takes TWICE as long to shave my face and with poorer results. The Norelco requires much more do-over work than the Braun and because it is so light it is difficult to control with precision. The Norelco missed hairs even after lengthy shaves. Also, the Braun comes with the nifty base station that cleans the shaver and charges it. Take my word for it the Braun is a hands down winner when you compare these two shavers.
