Vulli Soft Toy CPG GNON The Vulli toy is super cute and the little ring hook is perfect for the little hands. It is one of the few teethers out there that are safe, fun and cute. I definitely recommend it. I skipped the Sofie giraffe for this because my 6 months old would likely gag at the legs since she already does when putting her fingers in her mouth. This was an awesome alternative! The only complain I have is the water can get into the little hole in the back so have to give it an extra squeeze after each wash to clear the water.

KidCo G20 Black Safeway Wall Mount Top of the Stair Gate I ordered this gate a few months ago and it has been a life saver! My one year old is so curious about the stairs that she always wants to be on them but the gate keeps her from them. She pulls on it and pushes it and it will not budge, it feels strong and secure. Nerf N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25 Dart Blaster – With Bonus Darts I entered into a Nerf war zone at a new job position I took in late May. My wife purchased this specific Vulcan to help me deal with my central position between the QA and contractors and the long term development team. I received bounce, miss, and indirect fire from both sides and waited until my second full week with this tool and the Buzz Bee belt driven pump action toy. This toy can empty its 25 round belt quickly. My complaints are that the sound of the motor drowns out the subtle whistle of the darts and the ammo box is mostly decorative and slightly annoying addition to the toy. In a cube farm, focus on the indirect fire, use ceiling tiles to bounce darts down and into other locations. Reloading will take a tremendous amount of time so pick up and purchase a few belts over time. They cost between 9 and 10 dollars but come with a comparable number of darts. When playing with other children and adults expect some darts to be damaged or lost and replenish with the 36 dart booster packs as needed. Arguably the pump action Nerf gun with the tommy gun style clip is higher payload and more effective, and less prone to jamming, but the joy of auto fire is well worth this price.

American Crew Firm Hold Styling Gel, 15.2-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2) Please note, this product is best for short hair. I have short, soft, straight Asian hair prone to fly away. I wanted something that would set my style after blow drying or whatever. There are plenty of products that will hold a style, but this one works the longest, has excellent texture and is flexible all at once.

The scent is mild enough to ignore but is distinctly “masculine”. I find that annoying when I first apply it. Eventually, it goes away.

The gel seems to wash out cleanly with shampooing but see my later comment.

As your hair starts to grow out, it becomes more and more difficult to use this product. The gel is too thick to work into medium length hair and apply it evenly from root to tip. You either apply too little or too much.

Once, I did use much too much. With that much gel, I could shape my hair into almost any shape I wanted. Curls? Sure. Mohowk? No problem! It was sticky until dried into a plastic-like mass. Brushing softened the texture of my hair so it wasn’t like a helmet. But nothing could change the “set” of the hair. It just stayed locked in that style for 3 days even after much shampooing. BTW, there was no apparent residue after shampooing. I was unable to detect any “leftover” gel in the hair. The style just stayed on and on.

I don’t need much of this gel. I think one 15 oz bottle is going to last for a year or more.

Remington S9951 Shine Therapy Frizz Control, Humidity Resistant Ceramic Flat Hairstyling Iron, 1 Inch I have very coarse, thick, dry, curly/wavy hair that is prone to frizz and is in general very difficult to manage, especially in hot & humid summer weather. After much frustration with my old straightening iron, I took my friend’s advice and bought this Remington Frizz Therapy iron. WOW!! What a difference!

The iron is simple to use. It heats up quickly to max temperature (in about a minute or so.) You can lock the settings so that you don’t change them if you accidentally hit the buttons while using the iron. (Just a note: the instructions say to lock the settings, press and hold the “+” button for 3 seconds, until a lock icon appears on the display. This did not work for me. What did work was pressing and holding the “-” button for 3 seconds until the lock icon appeared. Try that if the “+” button doesn’t lock the settings for you.)

Straightening my hair with this iron takes much less time than it did with my old iron. I only need to make a pass or two to get sections of my hair straight — my old iron required multiple passes. This iron is also very gentle on my prone-to-breakage hair – it does not snag or break it. This iron leaves my hair looking soft and shiny — not fried, like my old iron! And best of all, it does what it says: it makes my hair pin-straight, and keeps it that way when I’m out and about in the summer humidity. My hair even stayed straight after an intense workout at the gym that had me super-sweaty! I’m very impressed with this iron, to the point where I am considering purchasing a second one, just in case the first one breaks. If you have difficult to manage hair, buy this iron – you won’t regret it!

Denying his feelings (fearing he is being unfaithful to the memory of his late wife, Trudy), Monk springs into action when it looks like he might lose a second chance at love. “Mr. Monk’s Other Brother” offers a very funny performance by Steve Zahn as Monk’s long-lost and very much alleged brother, an escaped convict. Deeply dubious, Monk nonetheless hides him and openly lies to his cop friend, Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine), while trying to prove the fugitive is innocent of murder. “Mr. Monk and the Bully” is a dark episode in which the detective is hired to follow the wife of a former school bully who made Monk’s childhood hell. When the husband is accused of murder, Monk savors the thought of his nemesis being convicted, even if he knows the villain is innocent. Finally, “Mr. Monk Fights City Hall” concerns Monk’s frantic efforts to stop the demolition of a garage where Trudy was murdered.
